FIG. 3 — ABOUT THIS DIRECTORY

About

SEOWrapper is a directory that breaks down what's actually happening under the hood of popular SEO tools, so you can decide whether to keep paying for one or build your own. See the methodology page for how tools are tiered.

Who's behind this

I'm Daniel. I built a tool website to 50,000 monthly users within a year — no dev team, just AI coding tools connected directly to Google's own Search Console and Analytics data. Along the way I looked into a long list of paid and free SEO tools and kept landing on the same question: what's actually behind this, and could I just build it myself? SEOWrapper is that question, written down so everyone else asking it can see the answer too.

How entries are researched

Each entry is written from publicly available sources — a tool's own pricing and product pages, engineering blogs, API documentation, and job listings that describe infrastructure — with reasonable inference from product behavior where a tool doesn't publish those details. We aim to be accurate, not clever; we have no stake in any listed tool succeeding or failing.

The initial research and drafting for each entry is done with the help of AI tools, the same category of thing this site is busy picking apart — every entry is checked against its live sources and reviewed before it's published, but we'd rather say this plainly than have it be a surprise.

Get in touch

If you're on the team behind a tool listed here and think we've misclassified it or gotten a fact wrong, or there's a tool you want torn down next, email hello@seowrapper.com and we'll take a look.
